Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson gave a positive appraisal for Wednesday’s morning practice, the 15th of the preseason, conducted in full pads. The team followed with a second workout in the afternoon, the third and final double session of camp.

“I thought we got some good work in,” Johnson said after the morning practice.

A slew of Georgia Tech players remained on the sidelines Wednesday morning. A-backs Deon Hill and Tony Zenon, defensive linemen Shawn Green and Roderick Rook-Chungong, linebackers Tyler Marcordes and Tremayne McNair and B-back C.J. Leggett were among those in red jerseys that denoted their injured status. Injuries were not specified, but do not appear serious.

Johnson was not terribly concerned about the number of injuries impacting the team’s second scrimmage, scheduled for Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. It will be a closed session.

“We’ll see who’s healthy and how many guys can play and then adjust,” he said. “We won’t know that till we play Saturday.”
