After putting a heavy focus on conditioning to prepare for a no-huddle pace, Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson said he thought the team “pushed through pretty good” in the scrimmage. Defensive coordinator Ted Roof said he thought his unit was in good shape, if fatigued. It was a change from last week’s scrimmage, when Johnson told the team that its conditioning level needed to be better. B-back Zach Laskey said the no-huddle work has paid off, saying he felt fresh after the 17-play drive to open the scrimmage.
“That’s something I haven’t noticed in years past,” he said.
