Georgia Tech may have a considerable advantage in fan support at Bank of America Stadium for the ACC championship in Charlotte, N.C. As of Wednesday on the ticket resale website Stubhub, 45 percent of purchases for the game had been made in Georgia compared to 11 percent in Florida.

Also Wednesday, Florida State was about 1,000 tickets away from selling out its allotment of about 5,500 tickets, while Tech's ticket office sold out its allotment earlier this week and began directing fans to tickets in other sections on the Tech side of the the stadium. Ticket information is available at ramblinwreck.com.

It should not be a great surprise. On top of much of its fan base being in closer proximity to Charlotte than Florida State’s, Tech’s run to the ACC Coastal title has ignited the Jackets fan base. On the other side, this will be the Seminoles’ third consecutive trip to the ACC title game and it’s likely many Florida State fans are planning, pending their team winning Saturday, to travel to a College Football Playoff game.
