Georgia Tech 2017 commit OJ Tucker verbally committed to the Yellow Jackets on Aug. 6, but according to 247Sports, he might flip his commitment for Nebraska.
According to 247Sports, Tucker, a 3-star recruit, is still planning to visit Wake Forest and Nebraska this fall. Tucker is quoted in the article saying that if he visits Nebraska like recruiters are asking him to, he might flip his commitment.
The 6-foot-1, 190 pound cornerback from Vanguard High School in Ocala, Fla. had 21 offers in total. Nebraska offered Tucker a spot on their 2017 roster in January.
"They want me to come up for a night game, probably in September," Tucker said to 247Sports. "(Defensive backs coach Brian Stewart) coached some local guys that live in Marion County. Those guys tell me some good things about him. That was my first offer. That's big, too."
Tucker said there is a “more than 50 percent” chance that he’ll flip his commitment from Tech to Nebraska upon a visit this fall, according to 247Sports.
Tucker also told 247Sports that while he liked Tech, the campus and the coaching staff, he’ll looking for a college where he can make the most plays on defense and “win every game we can.”
