Georgia Tech added another graduate transfer from another MAC school in the state of Michigan.
Forward Kellen McCormick will join the roster with one season of eligibility. McCormick graduated from Western Michigan in the spring and will be available to play immediately. First-year coach Josh Pastner also added Eastern Michigan guard/forward Jodan Price, reported Monday.
McCormick, who is 6-foot-8 and 215 pounds, came off the bench for all 32 games last season for the Broncos. He made a team-high 49 3-pointers on 107 attempts, a team-best 45.8 percent. It was his main contribution; of his 134 field-goal attempts, 80 percent were from 3-point range.
McCormick, the son of Michigan great Tim McCormick, likely could provide some off-the-bench minutes and the potential to spread the floor with his perimeter scoring touch.
With McCormick and Price, Tech has now allocated 12 of its 13 scholarship spots for the coming season. Pastner will have six scholarships available for the 2017 signing class.
