Seth Hinsley rushed for 161 yards to lead host West Georgia to a 24-16 upset of ninth-ranked and previously undefeated Delta State on Saturday.

Dallas Dickey ran 6 yards for a touchdown, Gabe Freeman returned an interception 7 yards for a score and Denarius Appling added the eventual game-winning touchdown on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Wolves.

West Georgia (5-1, 2-1 GSC), which lost at Valdosta State last week, held Delta State, the highest scoring team in Division II, to 38 points below their season average of 54 per game.

The Wolves had three interceptions, recovered a fumble, and held the Statesmen to 423 yards, their lowest total this season.

Dickey added 70 yards rushing as West Georgia finished with 272 yards.

Albany State 31, Morehouse 14: Jarvis Small rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown to lead the visiting Golden Rams in Morehouse's first home game of the season.

Small, who scored on a 4-yard run, has rushed for more than 100 yards in five consecutive games for Albany State (4-2, 4-0 SIAC).

Frank Rivers’ 1-yard run gave Albany State a 21-0 lead with 11 seconds left before halftime. He also threw a touchdown pass.

The Golden Rams also intercepted three passes, and Tavarius Washington returned a fumble 9 yards for a touchdown.

Devon Mann caught two touchdown passes from Jordan Tarver to lead Morehouse (4-3, 2-2), which has lost two consecutive after a three-game winning streak.

Benedict 20, Clark Atlanta 10: Cameron Stover threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead visiting Benedict.

Montavious Taylor scored Clark Atlanta’s only touchdown on a 7-yard run in the fourth quarter.

The Panthers (2-5, 0-4 SIAC) rushed for 242 yards and finished with 299 yards of offense.

Western Carolina 35, Mercer 21: Troy Mitchell threw three touchdown passes to Spearman Robinson to lead the visiting Catamounts.

Alex Lakes led Mercer (5-3, 1-3 Southern) with 125 yards rushing and a 9-yard touchdown run.

Mercer’s John Russ was 13-of-25 for 199 yards and threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Josh Jones.

Reinhardt 35, Belhaven 24: Niagel Curtis and L.J. Stegall each scored two touchdowns to lead visiting Reinhardt.

Stegall rushed for 56 yards, and Curtis added 54 as the Eagles (4-3, 2-1 Mid-South), who have won three consecutive games, finished with 209 yards on the ground.
