There are five Alabama players on the SEC coaches preseason team, just released by the conference, but the real surprise at quarterback, where Georgia’s Aaron Murray was selected ahead of Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel (second team) and Alabama’s A.J. McCarron (third team).
The five Alabama players include: RB T.J. Yeldon, WR Amari Cooper, OL Cyrus Kouandjio, LB C.J. Mosley and DB Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
Two linebackers from Georgia — Tennessee’s A.J. Johnson (Gainesville) and Ole Miss’ Denzel Nkemdiche (Grayson) — are on the first team.
