Former Georgia Tech All-ACC guard Marcus Georges-Hunt has signed with the Boston Celtics, according to a report on masslive.com.

Georges-Hunt played for the Brooklyn Nets summer-league team after his standout senior season for the Yellow Jackets. Georges-Hunt was the 19th player to join the 20-man preseason roster for the Celtics, according to the report. It’s not likely he’ll make the regular-season roster, but it probably gives him a better chance at landing a job in the D-League. The Celtics’ D-League affiliate is the Maine Red Claws. In four summer-league games with the Nets, Georges-Hunt averaged 13.2 minutes, 2.8 points and 1 rebound per game.

NBA training camps begin in late September. The Boston roster already has three players with ties to Atlanta – former Hawks center Al Horford, former Georgia State star R.J. Hunter and former Wheeler High star Jaylen Brown, the third overall pick in the draft out of California.
