Senior safety J.R. Reed did not practice with the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday during their first workout since arriving here Friday for the Sugar Bowl.

Reed later tweeted that he sustained a “minor foot injury” while practicing in Athens this week and chose to skip the game “to rest my body and prepare for what’s to come.”

The No. 5 Bulldogs will meet No. 7 Baylor at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Superdome.
