Perkins doubtful for Virginia Tech

Georgia Tech A-back Charles Perkins was listed as doubtful (lower leg) Thursday for the Yellow Jackets’ ACC opener at Virginia Tech Saturday. Perkins was injured in last Saturday’s win over Georgia Southern.

Perkins has started the first three games of the season and has probably been the team’s best perimeter blocker. He also opened the Georgia Southern game with a 63-yard run on the first play from scrimmage. Tech is deep at the position, but would undoubtedly miss his blocking on toss and option plays to the sideline.
