Former Georgia Tech B-back Patrick Skov wasn’t able to perform for scouts at Tech’s pro day because of a hamstring injury, but his body of work did enough to convince the Cleveland Browns to give him a shot.
Skov agreed to an undrafted free-agent deal with Cleveland Saturday shortly after the draft ended. He’ll likely work as a pro-style fullback, the role he played in his three seasons at Stanford. Skov came to Tech last summer as a graduate transfer, enrolling in Tech’s MBA program.
Physically tough, athletic and strong, Skov fits the special-teams prototype and will likely have his best shot to make the Browns roster through that channel.
Skov ran 93 times for 377 yards this past season with six rushing touchdowns. He played through shoulder injury and made it through 11 games, with eight starts.
