Georgia Tech coaches won again this weekend when they received a commitment from Northside-Warner Robins quarterback Tobias Oliver. The three-star prospect made his announcement on his Twitter account Sunday.

“It was not an easy decision, however I feel it was the best decision,” Oliver wrote. “It feels great to be a Yellow Jacket.”

With Oliver’s commitment, the Yellow Jackets’ 2017 signing class now stands at 15. After bringing in two quarterbacks in last year’s class, Oliver is the only quarterback in the group. His recruiting page on Rivals also lists offers from Troy, Army and Mercer. Oliver announced his scholarship offer from Tech Nov. 21.

Tobias is a three-year starter for Northside, one of the state’s powerhouse teams, and Friday broke the school record for career passing yardage with 3,716 yards, according to the Macon Telegraph. The school won the Class AAAAA state title in 2014 with Tobias at quarterback.

In Friday’s game, a Class AAAAAA quarterfinal against Glynn Academy, Northside won to advance to a state semifinal at Tucker on Friday.
