• Georgia (13-15, 5-10 SEC) will get one final shot at a road victory. The Bulldogs enter the regular-season finale 0-10 in opponents' arenas. LSU is 1-6 in SEC home games with the lone victory over Arkansas.

• Georgia has lost only two games this season to teams that currently have sub-.500 records (Arkansas and South Carolina). LSU is nine games under .500.

• The opposing coaches, Georgia's Mark Fox and LSU's Trent Johnson, are close friends. Fox was associate head coach to Johnson at Nevada from 2000-04, then succeeded Johnson as Nevada's head coach.

• Georgia point guard Dustin Ware needs three assists to reach 100 for the second consecutive season.

• Thompkins' scoring average of 17.6 points per game is the highest by a UGA player since Jarvis Hayes' 18.3 in 2003. Thompkins' combined scoring and rebounding average (17.6 points, 8.0 rebounds) is Georgia's best since Jumaine Jones' 18.8/9.5 in 1999.
