Stephen Dolphus

Position: Wide receiver

Committed: Oct. 21

Height, weight: 6-foot-5, 200 pounds

Hometown: Macon

What to know: According to Sheddrick Risper, his high school coach, Dolphus was the all-time reception leader at Westside High School.

Risper on Dolphus as a player: "He's always been a workaholic. You're not going to outwork Steve, whether it's on the football field or in the weight room. … He's been a joy to coach for four years."

Risper on Dolphus' decision process: "He was kind of weighing his options. He never (prioritized) one school over the other. I think he just fell in love with Georgia Tech and coach (Paul) Johnson."

Risper on Dolphus choosing Tech: "He likes their style. He fits their mold. He's a beast and a physical receiver. He's 6-foot-5, over 200 pounds, well put together and he's physical. Not only is he physical, he runs an extremely polished route, he can double-move you, and he's very unselfish. He fits Georgia Tech because he's unselfish and he blocks extremely well."

Risper on Dolphus' nickname on the team: "His nickname is 'Tookie'. It's just a childhood nickname I think. … Everyone knows him as 'Steve,' but we know him as 'Tookie'. We're going to miss him here.
