Jahaziel Lee

Position: Offensive lineman

Committed: Jan. 24

Height, weight: 6-foot-3, 245 pounds

Hometown: Ponchatoula, La.

What to know: Switched his commitment from Louisiana-Lafayette from June after his official visit to Georgia Tech on the weekend of Jan. 22. Lee projects as an offensive lineman although he spent high school as a defensive lineman.

Lee on why he decided against Louisiana-Lafayette: "Now because of (NCAA violations), they're on probation, they got all their bowl games taken away from them the last few years that they won them."

Lee on his visit from coach Paul Johnson on Jan. 14: "Coach Johnson was so straightforward with me. He told me not to worry too much about positions, but just more about giving effort. Anything could happen. I could go there and love offensive tackle. I'm a defensive lineman, but I can go there and love offensive tackle and stay there."

Lee on the influence of Tech's academics: "For what I'm going to school for and trying to major in which is civil engineering and management construction, you know, Georgia Tech is a great place to go and major in that field."
