A brief recap of the Yellow Jackets’ 52-51 loss against the Cardinals at McCamish Pavilion Monday night.

How the game was won: The Jackets pushed the pace and took advantage of Louisville's loose ball-handling to take a 24-17 lead at halftime. The margin grew to 41-28 with 9:40 to play before the Cardinals' pressure began to take effect. The Jackets grew tentative against Louisville, which allowed the Cardinals to go on a 14-2 run and finally take the lead at 48-46 with 59 seconds left. Tech turned the ball over three times in the final 3:01.

Turning point: Tech was unable to inbound the ball with 6:48 after a Louisville basket, a turnover that led to a Wayne Blackshear 3 pointer that cut the lead to 41-39 and complete an 11-0 run.

Number: 4-10. Tech had a rough night from the free-throw line. Forward Marcus Georges-Hunt, one of the team's best free-throw shooters, was 3-for-8.

Next: The Jackets will travel to Clemson Saturday. Tech broke its 10-game losing streak to the Tigers in the teams' first meeting Feb. 16.
