Georgia Tech B-back Zach Laskey had an X-ray on his injured shoulder, according to a post from his Twitter account. Laskey suffered the injury in the Yellow Jackets’ 48-43 loss to North Carolina Saturday.

Laskey returned to the game after the injury but was injured again on a carry in Tech’s final scoring drive and was replaced by Matt Connors. An update on Laskey’s status could come today.

If Laskey is unavailable, the Jackets’ options would likely be either Connors or running back Synjyn Days, who began the season as Laskey’s backup but moved back full-time to A-back (his position for the 2012 and 2013 seasons) prior to the North Carolina game. Another possibility could be first-year freshman C.J. Leggett. Coach Paul Johnson had said last week that he wanted to take a look at Leggett, but decided against removing his redshirt because he didn’t think it would be worth it to use a year of his eligibility to play as a backup for half the season.
