Glenn Schumann’s exact role on Kirby Smart’s new football staff isn’t defined yet, but his salary is.
Schumann will earn $225,000, according to a personnel report released by the University of Georgia through the Open Records Act.
Smart said Monday that Schumann – who was in a player development role at Alabama – would “probably” be an on-field, full-time assistant coach. Schumann’s background is on defense, where he worked closely with Smart at Alabama.
Last year at Georgia the lowest-paid full-time assistants were running backs coach Thomas Brown and inside linebackers coach Mike Ekeler, both at $275,000.
