When: 1 p.m. Saturday
Three things to know
1. This will be the university’s first homecoming for football. The Owls were off last week after suffering their first loss of the season, 31-27 to Dayton. The Owls were shut out in the second half as the Flyers put the clamps on the running game. Kennesaw State rushed for 254 yards in the first half and only 88 in the second. Coach Brian Bohannon said the Flyers took over the game in the second half, something that he hopes his program can learn how to do. Bohannon said the offense and defense committed myriad mistakes in the loss.
2. The Owls are averaging 39.75 points, 324 yards rushing and 99.5 yards passing per game. They are allowing averages of 16 points and 273.5 yards per game. Bohannon said he needs to see a big jump from his offense, defense and special teams this week.
3. Point is an NAIA school that is 4-1 this season. Point averages 438.8 yards per game, with a balance between running and passing. The defense is allowing an average of 428.2 yards per game, with 19 rushing touchdowns allowed. Bohannon said Point may have the best special teams he has seen this season.
