Kennesaw State’s baseball team won its first Atlantic Sun regular-season title after defeating Florida Gulf Coast 7-2 on Thursday.

Justin Motley hit a homer, triple and double with a career-high four RBIs to lead the Owls (27-25, 15-4). They will be the top seed in the conference tournament next week in Nashville, Tenn. Chris Erwin (3-2) pitched seven innings and allowing two earned runs for the win.

“I think we got to sit back and reflect on a special season,” coach Mike Sansing told the school’s athletics communications department. “Our players are a special group, and I couldn’t be more proud of them. I am proud of their efforts and this is a special moment.”
