McEachern High School cornerback and Georgia Tech commit Jaytlin Askew will play in the first round of 6A Georgia High School playoffs on Friday night against Lassiter High School.
The McEachern Indians (9-1, 5-0) will have home field advantage for the first round of playoffs against Lassiter (6-4, 1-4). On Nov. 18, the winner of Friday’s game will play the winner of Friday’s first round playoff game between South Forsyth High School and Parkview High School.
Askew, a 5-foot-9, 170 pound cornerback, caught two interceptions for the Indians this season, according to MaxPreps.
Askew committed to Tech on June 16 after receiving a formal offer on Jan. 14, according to 247 Sports. Askew has offers from 15 other colleges including Auburn, Florida State, Maryland, Pittsburgh and UCLA.
The game kicks off at McEachern High School at 7:30 and can be live streamed on the NFHS Network.
