Four native Georgians were among the 21 Kentucky seniors honored on Saturday during the Wildcats’ Senior Day festivities.

Alvin “Bud” Dupree was the last player introduced in sort of a grand finale. The 6-foot-4, 264-pound defensive end/outside linebacker from Irwinton (Wilkinson County) is indeed UK’s best player and highest-rated NFL prospect. He entered Saturday’s game with 5.5 sacks this season and 21.5 in his career.

The other Georgians honored on senior day were defensive back Ashley Lowery of Cleveland/White County, wide receiver Demarco Robinson of Ellenwood/Martin Luther King, and tight end Ronnie Shields of Stone Mountain/Stephenson.
