A day after learning that its noon-hour confinement had been lifted for the Miami game, Georgia Tech became the recipient of the nearly unthinkable. The Yellow Jackets will play Wake Forest at either 7 or 7:30 p.m. for their homecoming game on October 21.

Prior to this Saturday's Miami game, which was assigned a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Sunday, Tech had kicked off 11 of its past 12 Saturday games in the noon hour, a streak that rankled certain pockets of the Jackets fan base. It will be Tech's first Saturday night game since the Jackets played Florida State under the lights in 2015, the famed "Miracle on Techwood Drive" game.

ESPN will determine the actual game time and broadcast outlet after this weekend’s games. If it is shown on ESPN2, the game will start at 7 p.m. The other option is the 7:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU. Wake Forest is 4-2 and has its open date this week.
