Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins has made a scholarship offer to the son of an Atlanta great. Shedeur Sanders, son of former Falcons and Braves star Deion Sanders, announced his offer from Tech on his Twitter account Thursday.

Sanders, a junior quarterback at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas, made an unofficial visit to Tech on Wednesday. Sanders, listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds, holds a slew of offers, including from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Florida State and Michigan. He does not yet have a rating from 247Sports, Rivals or ESPN.

Shilo Sanders, Shedeur’s brother, is an incoming freshman defensive back at South Carolina.

In a video documenting his visit, Sanders made comments indicating a positive response to Tech.

“Honestly, this Georgia Tech is different,” he said on a video announcing his offer. “It’s a surprise to me. I didn’t know all this was here in Atlanta. But coming to this place, it just opened my eyes, for new and different things.”
