GEORGIA TECH AT NORTH CAROLINA

When: 7 p.m. Saturday

TV: ESPNU

Line: Georgia Tech by 1

WHAT TO EXPECT

Georgia Tech on offense: With both sides seeking to enforce their pace of play, the Yellow Jackets' ability to continue their third-down efficiency (nation-leading 58.9 percent) and keep control of the ball is a high priority, particularly after their aberrant three-turnover game against Duke. Red-zone efficiency and a low possession count likely would spell success against North Carolina.

North Carolina on offense: The Tar Heels, who have a 47/53 run/pass ratio, spread the ball in the passing game. Ten different players, including quarterback Marquise Williams, caught passes against Notre Dame on Saturday. Wide receiver Ryan Switzer, who leads the team with 25 catches, will line up across the field and has big-play potential.

Georgia Tech on defense: Defensive coordinator Ted Roof likely again will need to figure out the balance between aiding his pass rush with blitz help and playing safer pass coverages. Quarterback Marquise Williams' playmaking threat (62.5 rushing yards per game) will factor.

North Carolina on defense: The Tar Heels' 6.2 yards-per-play average ranks second to last in the ACC, behind only Tech at 6.3. The defense is, not surprisingly, ranked second to last in third-down efficiency (48.5 percent). Linebacker Norkeithus Otis has two sacks and four quarterback hurries.
