Georgia Tech and coach Geoff Collins have secured a commitment from a fifth prospect for the 2020 class, this one a Buford High cornerback who had once been committed to Oklahoma.

Jalen Huff announced his decision to play for the Yellow Jackets on Wednesday with a tweet. A three-star prospect (247Sports Composite), Huff also received scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon and Mississippi State, among others. He had also been offered by Temple when Collins was still coach there.

Huff is rated the No. 61 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 622 player nationally in the 2020 class. He had committed to Oklahoma in November 2018, but made visits to Tech after Collins’ hire. He withdrew his commitment March 19, citing changes in the Oklahoma coaching staff.

Huff’s decision continues the early momentum that Collins and his staff have built in their first full recruiting cycle. In the 2019 recruiting cycle, Tech landed its fifth commitment in early June.

Huff is the second cornerback in the class, following four-star corner Miles Brooks from Jacksonville, Fla.
