Georgia Tech hires include Will Glover

Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins added two more members to his staff, including former Yellow Jackets star receiver Will Glover. Collins named Glover a quality-control specialist for the offense and Jason Semore a quality-control specialist for the defense.

Both will assist Tech coaches with opponent scouting and game planning. Semore served in a similar capacity at Temple with Collins as a senior defensive advisor this past season.

Playing from 1999-2002, Glover caught 122 passes for 1,316 yards, which rank sixth and 13th in school history. He played for Tech while Collins was an offensive graduate assistant (1999-2000) and then tight ends coach (2001). Glover has been wide receivers coach at Bethune-Cookman for the past four seasons.

“Will was a great player here when we had the No. 1 offense in the country (509.0 ypg in 1999) and was the fourth-leading receiver in Georgia Tech history at the end of his career,” Collins said in a statement about Glover. “What a relentless competitor, great personality. We always want to bring the legends of the Flats back to Atlanta whenever possible, so Will is a great addition to our program.”

Semore played collegiately at Adams State 2001-05. Before going to Temple for the 2018 season, he coached for three seasons at Montana, serving as special-teams coordinator and secondary coach and then defensive coordinator.

Glover will share offensive quality-control duties with Bryan Cook, who previously was Tech’s quarterbacks and B-backs coach for Paul Johnson and last year returned to the staff as a defensive quality-control specialist.
