Georgia Tech has its 20th commitment for the 2020 signing class, wide receiver Avery Boyd from Tallahassee, Fla. The Godby High football team’s Twitter account made the announcement Saturday morning.

Boyd is the fourth wide receiver to commit to the class. Boyd has high-end speed, a quality that coach Geoff Collins has made a top priority in recruiting. According to tweets from the Boyd team account, Boyd has been timed in the 40-yard dash under 4.4 seconds twice, once at Tech’s camp in May and again at an Ole Miss camp in June.

It was shortly after impressing Tech coaches at the May camp that Boyd received a scholarship offer.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Boyd is rated a 3-star prospect by Rivals. He has also reported offers from Maryland, South Florida, Central Florida and Colorado State.
