WOFFORD AT GEORGIA TECH

When: 12:30 p.m. Saturday

TV: FSSO

The line: no line

WHAT TO EXPECT

Georgia Tech on offense: It will be important for quarterback Justin Thomas, making his first career start after serving as a backup to Vad Lee last season, to develop as much comfort as possible in his new role. The Yellow Jackets may also unveil their no-huddle tempo.

Wofford on offense: The Terriers will look familiar. They also use a lot of triple option and play a ground-based, ball-control style. Quarterback Evan Jacks, from Johns Creek, started six games last season as a freshman.

Georgia Tech on defense: With three new starters, the line will get its first opportunity to gain experience. The rush defensive ends, starter Roderick Rook-Chungong and freshman backup KeShun Freeman, will both play in their first college games. Safeties Jamal Golden (shoulder) and Isaiah Johnson (ACL) will make their returns from surgeries.

Wofford on defense: One benefit the Terriers have on defense is that they see an offense similar to Tech's in practice every day. Defensive end Tarek Odom (13 tackles for loss in 2013) and linebacker Travis Thomas (55 tackles) particularly caught coach Paul Johnson's attention.
