GEORGIA TECH AT TULANE

When: 4 p.m. Saturday

TV: ESPN News

The line: Tech by 10

WHAT TO EXPECT

Georgia Tech on offense: After passing for 282 yards in the opener against Wofford, it won’t be a surprise if the Yellow Jackets devote more attention to their option game. Coach Paul Johnson expressed a desire to give more playing time to his backups, including B-back Synjyn Days and quarterback Tim Byerly.

Tulane on offense: The Green Wave is relying on freshmen at two key spots, but both responded last week. Quarterback Tanner Lee was 22-for-44 for 262 yards with three touchdowns and one interception in a double-overtime loss to Tulsa. Running back Sherman Badie ran 15 times for 215 yards, including a 90-yard touchdown run.

Georgia Tech on defense: After a lackluster game against Wofford, the Jackets will try to address tackling flaws in Saturday’s game. With Tulane likely to throw often, pressure will be on the front four to create pressure, particularly tackles Shawn Green and Adam Gotsis. Tech will have to play without safety Isaiah Johnson (hamstring).

Tulane on defense: It’s a familiar puzzle for Tech opponents who’ve yet to face an option offense. Tech goes into the game not knowing how the Green Wave will defend the Jackets, but Tulane defenders will be trying to stop this unorthodox offense for the first time.
