Georgia Tech will attempt two games where fans will be encouraged to wear the same color to Bobby Dodd Stadium. The athletic department announced Tuesday that it has designated the Vanderbilt game Sept. 17 as a gold-out game.

Barnes & Noble’s Georgia Tech bookstore, in partnership with the school, is selling limited-edition T-shirts for the game. A percentage of proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society in support of childhood cancer research. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

Tech had already marked the Clemson game Sept. 22 — five days after the Vanderbilt game — as its annual whiteout game.
