Georgia starting right tackle Isaiah Wilson left practice with a lower body injury Wednesday, the extent of which is not yet known, DawgNation has confirmed.
Wilson was the only Georgia lineman not to miss any snaps on account of injuries during the 2018 season.
Wilson left the game temporarily against Vanderbilt with an apparent lower body injury before returning.
If Wilson’s injury is to the extent that he can’t play in the 4 p.m. game on Saturday against Murray State, sophomore Cade Mays would likely assume right tackle duties with Ben Cleveland starting at right guard. Mays started at right guard at Vanderbilt with Cleveland rotating in. The two players have rotated at the right guard position throughout fall camp.
Georgia sophomore Jamaree Salyer was working at right tackle behind Wilson in Wednesday’s practice prior to the injury. Salyer returned to UGA practice on Tuesday after missing more than a week with a lower body injury suffered on Aug. 20.
UGASports.com was the first to report Wilson’s injury following Wednesday’s practice.
