Georgia State running backs Kyler Neal and Taz Bateman have been medically cleared to play in Saturday’s game at Texas State.
Neal sustained meniscus damage in his knee during the win at Ball State. He is the team’s second-leading rusher with 246 yards on 65 carries in six games.
Bateman suffered a broken forearm in the second’s second game, a win at New Mexico State. He has 99 yards on 15 carries.
Additionally, linebacker Trey Payne (hamstring) may return, but only to handle short-snapping duties. Linebacker Ed Curney (turf toes) will be a game-time decision, as will linebacker Joseph Peterson.
Tight end Keith Rucker (hamstring) is out.
The Panthers (2-6, 1-3) will play the Bobcats at 4 p.m.
