Georgia State wide receivers Donovan Harden and Avert Sweeting, and cornerback Jerome Smith could return for next week’s homecoming game against Liberty at the Georgia Dome.
Running back Kendrick Dorn will miss the rest of the season following successful surgery on his knee. He is expected to return in six months and coach Trent Miles said this will be a redshirt year for Dorn, who was working with the second team before it was decided that he should have his knee examined. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Harden, a redshirt senior, suffered a broken bone in his foot during a non-contact drill before the season. He was the team’s leading receiver last year with 60 catches for 885 yards and seven touchdowns.
Sweeting, a senior, sustained a broken collarbone in the season-opening loss to Charlotte.
Smith, a redshirt freshman, had surgery on his hand last week. He has 11 tackles and three passes broken up this season.
Center Taylor Evans and cornerback Bruce Dukes were held out of Tuesday’s practice for precautionary reasons.
