Georgia State men’s basketball player Kevin Ware suffered a high ankle sprain in practice and will miss an undisclosed amount of time.

Ware transferred from Louisville during the offseason and is expected to be a starter for the Panthers, the defending Sun Belt champions. He has two years of eligibility.

Ware, a native of Conyers, suffered a horrific broken right leg during the Cardinals’ 2012-13 national championship run.

Georgia State’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will be unveiled at a free event on Thursday. The doors to the Sports Arena will open at 7 p.m.
