Georgia State’s Hart named All-American

Georgia State wide receiver Penny Hart was named to the Football Writers Association of America All-America team on Monday.

Hart led the Sun Belt Conference in receptions (5.5) and receiving yards per game (84.5). He was named the Sun Belt newcomer of the year.

He tied school records for receptions (71) and touchdowns (8) and set a conference freshman record for receiving yards (1,099).

The Panthers went 6-7 and appeared in the Cure Bowl. The team will return eight starters on offense and nine on defense.
