Six new football players have enrolled at Georgia State for the spring semester.

The group is headlined by former Utah quarterback Conner Manning. He is expected to compete with Emiere Scaife and Aaron Winchester for the starting spot held by Nick Arbuckle. Manning will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Joining Manning are high school players Jonathan Ifedi, Cedric Stone, Matlin Marshall, Javonte Lain and Charlie Patrick.

Ifedi is a wide receiver from Vance High School in Charlotte. He will join a group that includes returning starters Robert Davis, Penny Hart and Todd Boyd.

Stone is a cornerback from Independence High School in Charlotte. He will join a group that includes returning starters Chandon Sullivan and Jerome Smith.

Marshall is an athlete from Evans High School.

Patrick is a linebacker/running back from Mays High School. The Panthers return starters and contributors at both positions.

Lain is a defensive end/outside linebacker from Sandy Creek High School. He will compete with Michael Shaw and James Traylor at the rush position.
