Georgia Tech coach Geoff Collins has added four staff members, all with titles that did not exist on coach Paul Johnson’s staff. Collins brought all four – football research and analytics coordinator Pat Boyle, analysts Joe Battaglia (offense) and Ronell Williams (defense) and brand manager Santino Stancato  – with him from Temple.

The hirings were announced Friday and completed Collins’ support staff.

Boyle held the title of strategic specialist at Temple for the past two seasons. A former offensive lineman at Temple (2008-11), Boyle will collect and analyze data to assist in game planning, in-game strategy and recruiting. He holds a master’s degree in sports business from Temple.

Battaglia was a student assistant and then an analyst for Tech offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude when he held the same position at Coastal Carolina, then went with Patenaude to Temple, where he was a graduate assistant with the offense.

Williams played collegiately at West Chester 2011-14, coached at Widener and then was hired at Temple as a graduate assistant in 2017 and promoted to analyst in 2018.

Stancato came to Temple in 2017 as a digital-content coordinator and then became assistant director of operations and creative coordinator for the football team in 2018. Collins said at a recent news conference that he and Stancato “are connected at the hip most days” and that Stancato is “as creative as they come.”
