Georgia opens the season Saturday at the Georgia Dome against North Carolina.

The Bulldogs will open their home schedule Sept. 10 against Nicholls.

Here are a few new things Bulldog Nation will need to know before attending games ‘tween the hedges at Sanford Stadium.

Season blackout

Fans are encouraged to wear red for all home games, with the exception of the Nov. 19 game against Louisiana-Lafayette for which fans are encouraged to wear black.

Construction changes

The ongoing construction of the Indoor Athletic Facility will cause the Redcoat Band to relocate their Saturday morning rehearsal. The Redcoats will now hold their gameday rehearsal at their practice field, located at the UGA Intramural Fields, off of College Station Road.

Additionally, the exterior of the stadium’s Gate 9 has been renovated to address pedestrian egress concerns. The pathway from Gate 9 to Sanford Drive has been widened and permanent lighting has been added.

Concession changes

All stands now accept major credit cards. As a result, ATM machines are no longer available inside Sanford Stadium.

ATMs are still available outside the stadium in the Tate Center plaza.

Concessions inside Sanford Stadium will no longer offer free refills on beverages and popcorn.

All prices have been rounded off to the dollar.
