Aaron Murray was an affable interview and a good talker during his four years as Georgia’s starting quarterback. Now Murray is using those skills in a new career.
Murray is moving to the broadcast booth, joining the CBS Sports Network. His sister posted a photo of the CBS logo on social media, and Murray (who could not be immediately reached for comment by DawgNation) confirmed to Dawg247.com that he would be calling "10 games in the booth covering college."
A native of Tampa, Murray set numerous school and SEC records during a four-year run as Georgia’s starter from 2010-13. During that time he spoke to the media often, honing the skills he can now use in the broadcast booth.
After his Georgia career ended prematurely – he tore his ACL in the second-to-last game of the 2013 regular season – Murray was a fifth-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was never able to move past third on the depth chart, however, was released last year and signed several free agent contracts, including with Philadelphia, Arizona and Los Angeles.
Murray holds Georgia’s record for touchdown passes in a season and a career, most passing yards in a season and a career, pass completions in a career, and best pass efficiency rating in a season and career, as well as several other records.
