The Georgia Tech baseball team placed three players on the All-ACC first team, pitcher Buck Farmer, catcher Zane Evans and right fielder Daniel Palka. Outfielder Kyle Wren made the second team.

It is Farmer’s third selection to the All-ACC team, making him the first Tech pitcher to earn that distinction. Farmer, who is 8-4 with a 2.80 ERA, was named to the second team as a sophomore and was first team last season. Evans is second in the conference in home runs (14), fourth in RBI (62) and fifth in average (.364). Palka leads the ACC in home runs with 17 and is third in RBI (63).

Wren leads the ACC in hits (88) and is second in stolen bases (26). The Jackets have earned 87 All-ACC honors since coach Danny Hall’s first season in 1994, the second most behind Florida State (101) in that span.

Tech, the defending ACC champion, will begin pool play in the conference tournament Wednesday against Florida State at 11 a.m. in Durham, N.C.
