After a relatively easy start to the season, Georgia Tech will begin a rather steep ascent into the final 10 games of the regular season. The names on the schedule indicate it, and ESPN’s matrices confirm it.

According to the network’s “Football Power Index,” Tech’s strength of schedule for its remaining games is the strongest of any team in FBS. Included among the Yellow Jackets’ final 10 regular-season games are six in the power index’s top 30 – No. 10 Notre Dame (Saturday), No. 18 Clemson (Oct. 10), No. 16 Florida State (Oct. 24), No. 29 Virginia Tech (Nov. 12), No. 25 Miami (Nov. 21) and No. 5 Georgia (Nov. 28). North Carolina (Oct. 3) is No. 31.

Tech is ranked No. 14, which is also the Jackets’ position in the Associated Press poll. With such a strenuous schedule, the index assigns Tech a .5 percent of winning all of its remaining regular-season games, but also a 28.1 percent chance of winning its eight ACC games.
