Georgia offensive lineman Tanner Strickland will miss the 2009 season recovering from upcoming shoulder surgery.

Strickland, a sophomore from Berrien High School who redshirted in 2007, sustained the injury to his right shoulder during off-season workouts. He was expected to provide depth on the line this season after playing in all 13 games last season.

A full recovery is expected, according to UGA Director of Sports Medicine Ron Courson.
