Georgia Tech picked up its third commitment in the past five days as quarterback Demetrius Knight of Strong Rock Christian School claimed a place in the Yellow Jackets' 2019 recruiting class. Knight made his announcement via Twitter on Monday.

Knight is the eighth prospect to commit to Tech and the first quarterback.

Knight, listed at 6-foot-2 and 194 pounds, is a decidedly under-the-radar prospect. Neither 247 Sports nor Rivals had him rated as of Monday. The former gave grades to no less than 14 quarterbacks from Georgia. On his Twitter, he had announced only one scholarship offer, from FCS Tennessee Tech.

Evidently, Tech coaches believe they’ve uncovered a diamond in the rough from Strong Rock, a Class A private school in Henry County. From his highlight video, Knight appears to be an explosive and slippery runner and a passer who can make accurate throws with touch from the pocket and on the run.
