Cruz dismissed from baseball team

March 11, 2014Georgia Tech pitcher Alex Cruz was dismissed from the team due to a violation of the athletic department’s student-athlete policy.
Cruz had been expected to be a crucial part of the Yellow Jackets bullpen. In six appearances this season, Cruz had a 2.30 ERA with one save. Cruz, a senior, will stay in school through the spring semester.
