Three current Georgia Bulldogs and one former one have been invited to be play in one of the post-college showcase games.

Linebacker Amarlo Herrera, quarterback Hutson Mason and defensive back Damian Swann each have accepted invitations to play in the 2015 East-West Shrine Game, according to announcements on the event’s Twitter feed, @Shrine_Game. The game is scheduled to be played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Jan. 15.

Former Bulldogs Derrick Lott, a defensive lineman now at Tennessee-Chattanooga, also was invited to play in the game.

Established in 1925, The Shriners’ is the longest-running college all-star game in the nation. Proceeds benefit the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.

Herrera (42) and Swann (39) will have started 91 games between them when they take the field against Georgia Tech on Saturday. Herrera leads the Bulldogs in tackles with 93 and Swann is fourth with 52 and also has three interceptions.

Mason is a fifth-year senior but in his first season as Georgia’s starting quarterback. He leads SEC quarterbacks that have attempted more than 200 passes in pass efficiency (158.1). He has completed 68.4 percent of his passes for 1,825 yards with 19 touchdowns and just three interceptions.
