Georgia Tech A-back Broderick Snoddy has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against Pittsburgh. Snoddy’s status was part of Tech’s injury report released Thursday.

It was a considerable change from coach Paul Johnson’s update on Wednesday that Snoddy was “probably going to play” against Pitt. Snoddy injured his hand in the Duke game and did not play against North Carolina and Clemson.

Snoddy will be joined on the sideline by starting right offensive tackle Errin Joe, who was injured in the Clemson game with an undisclosed injury and was also ruled out for Saturday’s game. Joe had started the past 13 games, going back to last season. As with the rest of the offensive line, he had been struggling with his assignments this season. Joe likely will be replaced by freshman Will Bryan, who could be one of three freshmen in the offensive starting 11, in addition to redshirt freshman A-back Clinton Lynch. A-back Mikell Lands-Davis was elevated to the staritng lineup and B-back Marcus Marshall may start. He is expected to play regardless.

Defensive back Domonique Noble was also ruled out for Saturday.

Joe is the sixth offensive starter or significant backup to miss time due to injury, not counting four players who won’t play this season due to injuries suffered before the season.
