Georgia Tech junior Christopher Eubanks was named the ACC’s player of the year in men’s tennis for the second year in a row, becoming the fifth player in conference history and first in school history to accomplish the feat.

Coach Kenny Thorne was named ACC coach of the year, the second time that he has earned the award. Tech is ranked 20th nationally by the ITA and reached the semifinals of the ACC for the first time since 2011. The Jackets are 17-7 overall and 8-4 in the ACC.

Eubanks, a graduate of Westlake High, is 27-5 and was 17-2 in team matches. He is ranked seventh nationally and will be the No. 7 seed in the NCAA individual championship.

Andrew Li was also honored, making All-ACC third team.

Tech is in the NCAA tournament for the third year in a row and 13th time in Thorne’s 19 seasons. The Yellow Jackets will face Minnesota in the Gainesville, Fla., regional May 12.
