Former Newnan High School standout Tray Matthews played one season at Georgia, starting six games as freshman, before he was kicked off the team by then-coach Mark Richt.

Matthews found a new home at Auburn and has started at safety for the Tigers the last two seasons.

Matthews and Auburn play the Bulldogs Saturday in the SEC Championship Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
