Georgia Tech B-back Marcus Allen, who injured an ankle in the season-opening victory against Alcorn State, is expected to return to practice this week, Jackets coach Paul Johnson said Monday. Allen carried three times for 21 yards and gives the Jackets yet another option at B-back in addition to Patrick Skov and Marcus Marshall (pictured on one of his touchdown runs in the opener). But the Jackets also may have lost backup quarterback Tim Byerly to a leg injury in Monday's practice for an undetermined amount of time.
Also, Johnson had high praise for a Tulane linebacker that his team needs to control this coming Saturday.
